Dr Rall Koen took over the medical centre as solo GP from Dr Paul Veitch in January 2013. Rall trained at Stellenbosch University in South Africa and has worked in emergency medicine for many years before specialising in general practice in New Zealand through the University of Auckland. He is a Fellow of both the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners and the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
Rall has a postgraduate Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from the College of Medicine in South Africa and have also obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Community Emergency Medicine from the University of Auckland. He is also a certified Offshore Oil & Gas and Maritime medical practitioner and also holds an Advanced Certificate in Dermoscopy from Australia.
Rall is married to Lizelle, who is the practice manager and they have two children, Anja and Leon. Rall's main interests are kite surfing, motorcycling and squash.
Lizelle began her career as practice manager when she and GP husband bought Central Medical Centre in 2012. Lizelle trained as a dental hygienist and has been working in the dental field all her life. She enjoys the challenge of general practice and running a business while still working part time as hygienist so not to lose the skill.
She enjoys running, mountain biking, taking her dogs Nina and Jimmy for walks on the beach and socialising with family and friends.
Elaine has worked at Central Medical Centre since 2008. She likes the small team environment and the variety of work in both the general practice and occupational health sides of the clinic.
She plays golf and enjoy spending time with her friends and family.
Becky trained in South Africa where she mainly worked in trauma. She came to New Zealand with her family in 2007 for a better lifestyle. She joined the team at Central Medical Centre in May 2016 and enjoys working at this GP practice because of the good variety of work in both primary nursing and occupational health.
Her interests are walking, art and spending time with family and friends.
Christine joined the Central Medical Centre team in March 2012 working 4 days per week from Monday to Thursday.
She has lived in New Plymouth all her life and have been married to her husband, Jim for 35 years. They have 4 children between them and six grandchildren. Her interests include gardening, cooking, beach walks and spending time with her family and friends.
Denise began her career as medical receptionist in Levin in 1978 in a small surgery staying for 6 years before starting a family. Since then she has been working part-time as medical receptionist at various practices in New Plymouth where she has now lived for 30 years. She has been working at Central Medical Centre since 2010 on a Friday and covering other days as needed. She finds the small team at Central Medical Centre make it really enjoyable to come to work and Rall and Lizelle are really supportive.
Her spare time sees her caring for her young school aged grandson fulltime, spending time with her family and other three grandchildren and enjoying being pillion on the back of a motorbike.
