Paul is from the UK, and came to New Plymouth
for a short holiday in 2009. He has a wife and four daughters. He has worked at
Base Hospital in the emergency department and as paediatric registrar on ward
two. Prior to that his posts in the UK included paediatrics, haematology
and oncology, orthopaedics, vascular surgery and general practice.
He has interests in child health, sports medicine, foot and ankle problems and terminal care. Outside of work, Paul spends a lot of time with his family, but also likes participating in triathlons, enjoys all sport, watching movies, and reading.
Dr Irina Danych grew up and trained in Russia and has lived in New
Zealand with her husband for over 10 years. She initially spent four years working
at Taranaki Base hospital before moving into general practice. Irina and her
husband love the Taranaki lifestyle as do their two children.
Katy grew up on the Isle of Wight in the UK and went to medical school in London before returning to the Isle of Wight to do her GP training, which she completed in 2011. She moved with her husband Sam and their 3 young children to New Plymouth in April 2016.
She enjoys the outdoors lifestyle that living near the beach and the mountain provides in New Plymouth.
Professionally, she enjoys the variety that general practice offers, and the values the continuity of care that can be provided in general practice. She is particularly interested in elderly care, palliative care, paediatrics and mental health.
